Hiking in Olympic National Park, Washington is a feast for the senses! I was blown away by the natural beauty! I was there in July of 2011 and the weather was glorious.
My husband and I had a lot to see and do during the 8 days we were touring the Seattle and Vancouver areas, so we took a short (1.5 mile) hike on Hurricane Hill.
The wildflowers were abundant and fragrant…and the snow capped mountains were like frosting on the cake!
As you can see, there were steep drop-offs, but the trails were wide and flat, so the hiking was easy!
I felt like I was “on top of the world”!
While in Washington, I also hiked at Mt. Rainier and I have to say that hiking in Olympic National Park was my favorite!

I love being in the mountains. Usually go at least once a month, any season. Nowhere as beautiful as a mountain lake.

The Pacific Crest Trail in the North Cascades has some of the most amazing scenery I’ve ever enjoyed. Sections near Winthrop, WA are incredible! I feel so lucky to have seen them! Some people who have hiked the entire trail (Mexico to Canada) say this is the most beautiful part. I feel so very blessed to live in the AMAZING Pacific Northwest! 🙂
