Bryant Park which is located behind the New York City Public Library is my favorite urban park within New York City! Although it had started lightly raining while I was exploring the area a couple of weeks ago, I enjoyed taking a few photos of the area…
Once the trees have bloomed, I’m sure it’s absolutely gorgeous! Although I like that you can see the buildings through the bare branches.
Here’s the front of the New York City Public Library…
Once inside, I found the architecture and the marble walls really impressive…
Even the water faucet was splendid…
The little matching lamps are so cute and the high ceilings are stunning…
This ceiling painting was heavenly…
That’s the end of my first day in New York City…I covered a lot of ground…but come back tomorrow for a look at what I saw on the way to the World Trade Center!

I love the library. We wanted to take the tour but did not have time. It’s a good excuse to go visit. You always have such great pictures. I definitely need to get a better camera!

Thanks very much! I’ve been saying the same thing. I use an Olympus PEN, which is not a DSLR, but I may get one soon! 🙂

Wow …. I love the photos from park in the rain – and the photo with the little lamp in the stairs. The weather looks a bit cold.
Here I have to go … thanks for this one. I have never given Central Park my full attention so .. that will get a couple of hours.

You would never get me out of that library! It’s stunning. I have to say, if these were a couple of weeks ago, New York had more green than we have now.
