Gettin’ Down with The Soul Pocket Band

I’ve been a fan of the Soul Pocket Band for years now…groovin’ to their Mojo songs and had another opportunity last night at Newport on the Levee, a complex of shops, restaurants, free events and more, located on the Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky! I went my friend Teresa and had my new camera with me…a Nikon D5100 with an 18-200mm lenses. It’s a bit bulky compared to my last camera…especially when dancing, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a frequent companion!

Instead of buying a lot of shoes, I collect photos of them and these on one of the singers are sexy!

Sneaky Pete is the male vocalist…

There’s Laura with a friend of hers waving at me and my other friend Shari is to their right with dark hair, a yellow top and blue blazer. Laura knows I pick people up and when she first saw me there, she ran up and picked me up, to my surprise! Look at her legs…she’s in great shape!

Here’s Teresa on the right. The guy in the middle is Nikki (great personality and cute) and I don’t remember the girl’s name. Between Teresa and I, we know quite a few people, so it’s always fun to go out and be social! (See the photo bomb guy in the back)!

As you can see, the weather was glorious…sunny, low humidity, 80 degrees! It was definitely crowded!!

I spotted this adorable doggie and got a quick shot!

I loved the colors created as the sun was setting…

It’s funny…I was at Newport on the Levee the night before for a Photographer’s meetup and took some photos that evening also. I’ll do another post about that night!
