I awoke before 5:00 a.m. and checked the weather forecast. The rain was going to start some time this morning and seemed it would stick around for most of the day, so I decided to drive a few minutes from my Airbnb to the waterfront to check it out, since I’m leaving tomorrow morning for Cape Breton. It looks like a fun place to be.

I relaxed for most of the day, but then after checking the weather forecast, I saw there was going to be an hour or two with no rain, so I drove a few minutes to the Halifax Public Gardens. It’s free to the public and quite pretty.

I have a 3 and 1/2 hour drive to Cape Breton tomorrow, and I’m really looking forward to visiting.
