This morning my Airbnb host had breakfast prepared at 6:30 a.m. so that I could depart early for a 186 mile drive on the Cabot Trail, a very scenic loop highway on the island of Cape Breton. It took me 9 hours, including the hike, stopping for a late lunch/ early dinner, and the vista pull-offs. I went counterclockwise, and here are some of the views I saw up until I got to the area where I hiked.

I hiked the 4.8 mile Skyline Trail. The view at the turnaround point was gorgeous!

My next stop was Inverness Beach. The first couple of photos were taken on the way to it. You’ll notice from the sunnier photo that the weather changed.

It was a great day, a little too much driving, but no pain, no gain. I have almost 3.5 hours of driving tomorrow to Prince Edward Island. I will also take a 1 hour 15 minute ferry ride.
I want to visit canada so badly!
