Yesterday morning, I left my Airbnb in Kansas City, Missouri and drove an hour West stopping at the Ted Ensley Gardens in Topeka, Kansas. It’s located at Lake Shawnee. The gardens are free.

Also in Topeka is Ward-Meade Park. This Park was beautiful! There’s a little village from the 1800s. The flowers were spectacular. It’s also free.

My research for places to stop between Kansas City and Hayes, Kansas revealed the World’s largest belt buckle in Abilene, Kansas. It’s 20 ft. x 13 ft., not including the frame. 😁

Next door is the Eisenhower Park Rose Garden. Each stop got better and better.

In Victoria, Kansas you’ll find a beautiful church, St. Fidelis Basilica.

My journey will come to an end later today when I arrive in a suburb between Denver and Boulder, Colorado. I can’t wait!
Wonderful pictures, Sherry!
Long time ago, on one our road trips, we bicycled the Blue River Trail in Kansas – a fantastic trail.
Take care!
