Day 11 of my Solo Oregon Adventure

Today was all about waterfalls and gardens. I departed my Airbnb in Carson, Washington and drove along the historic Columbia River scenic byway. My first stop was Horsetail Falls.

Just down the road was the famous Multnomah Falls. Since I got such an early start, there was hardly anyone at any of the falls. There was a group of dressed up Asians at Multnomah Falls. I snapped a photo of the guys waving. They had a drone also.

Next I hiked 1/2 mile round trip to Bridal Veil Falls. I was experimenting with my phone and discovered I can do long exposures, which is great for waterfalls.

Latourell Falls is beautiful!

From there I drove into Portland and visited the International Rose Test Garden (free admission), which is located in Washington Park.

I explored the Japanese garden which is also in Washington Park. You can walk to it from the Rose garden.

I’m at my Airbnb now, it’s very cute and eclectic.

  1. Amazing waterfalls, and so nice to have such peace and quiet while visiting. And, that tree of golden leaves with the crazy branches is to die for! Such wonderful places you visit, dear Sherry ~ you rock! 🌺
