In the last couple of weeks I’ve gone to a couple of holiday events. With one girlfriend I attended a candlelight orchestra. I really enjoyed this because it wasn’t too long, 1 hour and 15 minutes, it was small enough so you could discern which instruments were making what music, and they were good. It was holiday music. I’ll be going to another one of their concerts with my brother and his wife, that’s what they wanted for their Christmas present. It will be music from ABBA.

With another girlfriend I went to a Christmas play at a local theater called White Christmas. I was enjoying it for a while but it ended up being 2 and 1/2 hours long with a 10 minute intermission, just too long for me. We went to dinner first, and it was nice to visit with each other.

I put my Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving, to try to get into the spirit. So have I been naughty or nice?

My complex had a holiday party. I took a date, he ended up not working out, but I’m used to that.

Yesterday I took my roommate (built-in cat sitter) out for brunch for his Christmas present. He’ll be traveling home to West Virginia over the holiday.

I have a lot of parties and get togethers scheduled, beginning Friday through Wednesday, so that will bring some joy. I hope all of you have a great week!
