Hiking in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve

Monday night for my final night in Sedona I went to the Sedona Airport Scenic Vista to see the sunset.

Today, I did two hikes in Northern Scottsdale. The first one was Pinnacle Peak trail, 3 miles / 1000 ft. elevation gain. The views were spectacular!

You can see a couple of tiny people hiking on the switchbacks.

While I was up in that area I also hiked the 1.5 mi Tom’s Thumb, Feldspar, and Marcus Landslide trail, 1.5 miles, 206 ft. elevation gain. Most people hike the Tom’s Thumb trail, but I’m more cautious right now since I broke my shoulder back in July.

Tonight’s sunset from my Airbnb was beautiful!

I joined a meet-up group in the area, so tomorrow evening I’m supposed to meet some women and play a Domino’s game.
