Today, I drove 4.5 hrs. to Ottawa, Canada, from my Airbnb in New York.  Crossing the border was easy peasy. I was concerned because I had nuts and after packing them, I read that you’re not allowed to bring them across the border. So, I smuggled them across 😅 My first stop was the National Gallery of Canada. It was quite large with beautiful architecture!

The Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica was across the street.

I had a late lunch at Peace-Garden.

I had wanted to explore more, but there was a heat advisory, it was really hot! I drove 10-15 minutes to my Airbnb. I’m staying in a family’s home, they’re very nice. I have the entire downstairs.

I’m only here for one night, and then tomorrow I will drive to the Mont Tremblant and Mont Blanc areas in Quebec.
