Medicinal Plants and Gozalandia Waterfall, Puerto Rico

I signed up for an Airbnb Experience before arriving in Puerto Rico. It’s a 2 hour class to learn how plants can heal us. It was held at the facilitator’s home in Moca, Puerto Rico. She spoke about a variety of plants and what ailments they helped. She grew many of these on her property and took us on a short tour. There were tinctures and glass bottles with various plants, filled with either alcohol or apple cider vinegar. Very educational.

Leaving there, I headed to Gozalandia Waterfall. I drove along twisting, narrow roads, hitting an occasional pot hole. The views were beautiful.

There’s a $10 fee to park at Gozalandia Waterfall. It was worth it. There are two beautiful waterfalls. It’s less than a five minute walk to the most popular one. There were quite a few people there when I arrived. Some of the young adults were climbing up the rocks to either slide down or jump in.

The other waterfall takes about 10 minutes to reach. It’s smaller but has fewer people.

Afterwards, I had grilled Mahi Mahi and roasted potatoes at their outdoor restaurant. It was tasty. Today I’ll be visiting a few more beaches.

I'd love to hear what you have to say
