On Tuesday, I took a walk on the beach at Ocean City, Maryland. It was chilly, but not rainy yet.

Yesterday, I left my Airbnb in Ocean City and drove to the Lewes Ferry. My vehicle and I took it to Cape May, New Jersey. The ride takes about 1 ½ hours.

Originally, I was going to stop in the town of Cape May to explore, but it was raining, so I checked into my lodging in the Wildwood area of Cape May, a block from the beach. The rain stopped briefly, so I went to the beach and snapped a pic…

My little room has a kitchenette. The towel art was cute…

When I checked the weather forecast this morning, it was supposed to begin raining by 10:00am, so I left my lodging by 6:30am and went to explore the quaint historic town of Cape May. My first stop was the area with Victorian homes. I love architecture and these homes are so cool!

Next I explored Washington Street Mall and took a walk through Cape May Rotary Park. I’ve been feeling like I’m at a deserted beach town 🙂

I stopped at the boardwalk along the beach. Pretty deserted.

I took this shot on the way back…

Tomorrow, I leave for a town in New York, about 45 minutes north of New York City. It’s on the way to Rhode Island, which will be my destination after that. I’ll probably stop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s been 13 years since I was in New York City. That was my only visit.
p.s. The weather’s supposed to get better by Saturday
Sometimes weather doesn’t cooperate with travel plans, but, even so, it looks like you enjoyed your visit, and I love your wide angle capture of clouds over the cresting ocean waves at Cape May. Wishing you a great day, dear Sherry 😘
