90 minutes in Boston, Massachusetts

Yesterday, I left my Airbnb in Falmouth, Massachusetts and was originally headed to do a hike at a state park and visit a museum. But, the weather was iffy, so I decided I would visit Boston since I was driving that way. I’ve only been to Boston once for a few hours 19 years ago. I wanted to visit the Charles River Esplanade and the Boston Common and Public Garden. I don’t enjoy driving in big cities, but it wasn’t too bad.  An event called “Girls on the Run” was going on. I pick out my parking spot ahead of time and plug it into my Google maps, but because of the event, I had to find a different place. This was the first thing I saw upon exiting the parking garage…

I walked through the Boston Common…

Girls on the Run event…

I had read that Acorn Street was a must-see. There were quite a few people taking photographs. I didn’t see the big appeal.

It was nice walking along the Charles River Esplanade. There were people walking, jogging, and relaxing.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Public Garden. So pretty!

I’m in Hartford, Vermont for a couple of nights. As you could see, the weather cleared up for my 90 minute Boston exploration, but then it rained quite heavily during my drive to Vermont. After settling into my Airbnb, I took advantage of the host’s hot tub. Today I’ll check out some covered bridges.
