Rocky Mountain high!

Saturday I had a big bike ride. I went with a new “to me” group and it was all guys except for one other lady. They went really fast and we did 31 miles with a 1200-ft elevation gain. I was tired afterwards!

Sunday I hiked with a Meetup group at Mount Falcon Park. I went by myself a couple of weeks ago and did a different trail there. The views were great! I’ve lost 4 lbs since I’ve been here. 👍

On the way back home, I stopped at Red Rocks Amphitheater. I’ve only been there once before in 2013 when a friend and I saw ‘The National’ there.

Tuesday I stopped on my way to hike at Cherry Creek State Park. The lake is pretty.

Then I drove to Castlewood Canyon State Park and did a small hike. It wasn’t as nice as I expected, plus I got a later start since it’s so far from my Airbnb, so it was hot!

I rented an Airbnb in Lakewood, a suburb of Denver. I had three events coming up that were close to there. The first one was Tuesday evening at The Fort Restaurant. I had steak, which I haven’t had in months. There were some good photo ops.

The lady next to me had bone marrow as an appetizer, so I pretended like I was eating the bone.

Wednesday evening I visited a historic place called The Manor House with a Meetup group and listened to an outdoor live band. It was nice, but I get restless unless the band is really good and I can dance. I only stayed about an hour and a half. The surrounding scenery was pretty.

Thursday morning I drove almost an hour and a half to hike with a Meetup group near Frisco. It was beautiful! The old wooden structures were cool.

I’m the one in the neon lime green.

I stopped at a scenic viewpoint on the way back and took a pic of the Dillon reservoir.

I’m living the good life! 😀

  2. The good life, indeed ~ so gorgeous, dear Sherry! I visited and climbed around the Red Rocks Amphitheater in the mid-1980’s, and appreciate you sharing your lovely photographs, my friend. May your days continue to be filled with such beauty, as you’ve found in Colorado! ✨🤗
