Visiting Nerja and Frigiliana from Malaga, Spain

Yesterday, I took a day trip from Malaga to Nerja and Frigiliana. The bus ride was 1.5 hours. Some of it was along the coast which was lovely. As usual, I had prepared self-guided walking tours of both places. I set off walking towards the coast to a spot called Balcón de Europa aka Balcony of Europe.

It was a beautiful day, in the ’60s, and the views were stunning! I made my way down to the beach.

Next I took a 15-minute bus to the charming village of Frigiliana. The narrow colorful streets were delightful to explore and the views were a showstopper!

I stopped for lunch at Restaurante El Mirador-Frigiliana. There was one table available in the front, but the waiter said because I was by myself I had to take one behind it. 😤 Other tables opened up as I ate and no one was there to take one. The sangria was excellent, but the sea bass was just okay.

I made my way back to the bus stop for the return trip to Nerja and then Malaga.

It was such a pretty day and the surroundings couldn’t have been more beautiful!
