Another day in Mexico City

I woke up this morning lonely and low, wanting to go home. I shook it off and made a plan. I ubered to another section of the Bosque Chapultepec to see the two lakes there.

I had a cup of fruit (the yummy kind with spicy chile) for a late breakfast.

Next, I walked a mile to the closest bike sharing station and cycled 2 miles to El Palacio de Hierro Durango (a shopping mall). I thought it may be less expensive than at home, I was wrong. It was a high end mall, no sales racks, four floors. The average price of dresses was $200, tops $75, etc. It was interesting to see the different styles.

Then I walked a mile to a restaurant called Luanca. The sea bass was excellent.

Now it’s time for a nap 😴

Sometimes we just feel sad. I retired to Italy and most days are wonderful, but there are times I wake up and miss my old life, but it fades. Sounds like you turned the day into a good one.
