The usual

Since I last posted, a couple of friends and I went cycling. There was a building along the way that indicates what year/level the Ohio River has risen above flood stage. I remember my grandfather telling me he was in a building in downtown Cincinnati during the great flood of 1937.

A friend and I went out to listen to a blues band at Mansion Hill Tavern, in Newport, Kentucky. I approached an interesting looking man there and asked if I could take his photo. We went to another place and played one game of pool, we were both rusty.

I led another hike! It’s been pretty warm here, up into the mid ’90s, but we got an early start.

I attended a one-year birthday celebration for my great nephew. That’s my brother and me.

I went to a wine tasting and had a date over to my pool for the fireworks.

They had drones that made different shapes, I thought that was cool. I’m really not into fireworks that much anymore, I feel like once you’ve seen them so many times, it’s the same thing, but it was something to do.

I ran into an old friend and we went for brunch in Bellevue, Kentucky. There are lots of restaurants and bars in this area now. My food was yummy, surf and turf.

I went on a first date with a man and had lunch at a restaurant on the Little Miami River.

I leave in a few days for a month-long solo trip to California and Colorado. I got a covid booster. I haven’t had one since 2022. I finally got covid last year on a trip in September 2023 and don’t want to repeat that. Stay tuned for lots of amazing landscapes.

I'd love to hear what you have to say
