Driving from Denver to Glenwood Springs and taking the Georgetown Loop Train

Yesterday, I drove from Denver to Georgetown to take the 1 hour Georgetown Loop train ride. The aspens were turning golden. It was a beautiful ride.

I took a short detour off of I-70 and stopped at a couple of turnoffs before reaching Sapphire Point overlook. Lake Dillon was gorgeous!

I drove through Frisco, what a cute town. I ran into a lot of construction traffic on I-70 which delayed my trip by at least 45 minutes. Driving through Glenwood Canyon was stunning. I finally arrived in Glenwood Springs and checked into my hotel.

Today I’m getting a massage and soaking in the hot springs. I also have a dinner date with a guy.

  1. hi, I’m just now catching up with you and your travels down the coast. I’m sorry you hit it just as we were recovering from a heatwave that brought a lot of fog! keep on traveling!
