Yesterday, I drove four hours from St. Louis to the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s small but it packs a punch! And it’s free.

I couldn’t check into my Airbnb until close to 3:00 p.m. so I explored the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. It’s also small, but well done. And it’s free!

This piece was inspired by the 10th anniversary of the seemingly unrelated but near-simultaneous protests and unrest that broke out across the globe in 2011.

Next up was the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I knew this Museum had great reviews, but it was an amazing Art Museum! I think I spent more time there than I have in any Museum. There are works from most all of the great artists, including Monet, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Matisse, and Georgia O’Keefe. It’s huge, my feet were killing me! And it’s free!

I couldn’t believe Texas did this…

The Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park is also on the grounds.

I was really impressed with Kansas City! Today I’m driving to another lodging in Kansas. Tomorrow the drive is only six hours to my new home in Colorado.
I’m glad someone is still creating art to document the times. Thanks for sharing these.

In Kansas City/MO we visited the Truman House and Library and very much impressed.
Have a safe trip and enjoy your new home.
