2025 began with a month-long trip to Puerto Rico! I spent a couple of weeks on the West Coast near Rincon, a week in Fajardo, a few nights in the mountains, and a week in Old San Juan. I got a real feel for the island.

I led some hikes in Northern Kentucky.

In May/June, I went on a solo 3-week Eastern seaboard road trip, beginning in Virginia – traveling up to Boston – cutting into New York, up to Vermont and then back home. I explored beaches, State Parks, and museums. I don’t remember where every photo was taken. I like to tell my story with photos…

I finally pulled the trigger on moving to Colorado. I listed my home in June and it sold in a few days. I sold all of my furniture and possessions in about 3 weeks. I set off on the 1,300 mile cross country trip with my SUV filled to the brim. I stopped overnight in St. Louis and Kansas City, and explored a bit.

I settled in at my first Airbnb in Broomfield (a suburb of Denver) where I stayed 2 months. I stayed another 2 1/2 months at an Airbnb in Golden. And so far…a month at an Airbnb in Lone Tree (a suburb of Denver). I’ve done so much in the 5 1/2 months I’ve been here…hiked approx. 60 trails, cycled approx. 20 routes, visited museums, sculpture parks, State parks, and lakes.

I’ve seen deer, moose, snakes, and bighorn sheep…

On the way to my two night stay in Crested Butte, I stopped and cycled the Mineral Belt Trail in Leadville, Colorado. The leaves were spectacular!

The beauty of the area was overwhelming and I began to cry…

On the way back to Denver, I cycled the Dillon Reservoir Loop.

I attended social events and dinners. I also dated a few men a few times. No matches.

I spent a week in San Diego for dental tourism. After seeing a dentist in Denver, I was told I needed to replace three of my crowns. I found a dentist in Tecate, Mexico. It was an adventure!

It’s been an amazing 5 and 1/2 months in Colorado! I gave up the sense of security as a homeowner for adventure. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
