Friday’s adventure began with a dermatologist appt. an hour and a half from Kanab in St. George, Utah. Then I went for a 20 mile bike ride along the Virgin River. Unfortunately, my battery died about a mile before the end, so it was a challenge cycling a 50 lb. bike back. The bright blue skies and terrain were lovely!

My next stop was a gorgeous Utah State Park called Sand Hollow. I love the colors in this area, especially the cobalt blue water and pink/coral mountains.

Sunday, I volunteered at the animal sanctuary again. This time it was with dogs. My first task was to take Hendrix on a 30-minute walk. He is one of six dogs in this particular building that have behavioral problems. That is his handler bringing him to me. He’s the only one that is volunteer friendly, and it went fine.

Next, I made six enrichment boxes for the dogs. I was given a baggie with each of their specialized treats, six large packing boxes, and a lot of packing paper to hide some of the treats in. This kept them busy for a while.

I started working out at the fitness center here in town. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
