This morning, I drove an hour to Maligne Lake. I arrived at 7:00 a.m. and saw some elk and a fox on the way. I stopped at Medicine Lake to take a photo.

I only saw a couple of people once I arrived at Maligne Lake. It was very peaceful. I walked for a bit. I’ve been a little sad and lonely on this trip. I miss my son and husband. I miss having someone to love and to be loved by.

The sun was just making an appearance during my drive back to Jasper. I got out of the car and snapped a photo here and there.

I saw more elk on the way back, and was able to capture photos.

During the 4 hour drive back to Canmore on the Icefields Parkway, the weather began to change, and it rained fiercely for half of the drive. The clouds looked really cool! I was able to get another photo of Bow Lake, since the other one was taken so early in the morning. I also took another photo of Stutfield Glacier.

I have a long travel day tomorrow. I’ve seen some amazing places on my solo Canadian road trip!
Wow. I can imagine how traveling alone must feel. I appreciate you sharing it with us, though ❤

I think everyone should try it, it is empowering. It’s just that I do it so much, it gets a little lonely sometimes.

This looks wonderful! I love waking up around 5 am and then going for a stroll or driving in the countryside to see majestic views like yours. Although the landscapes in Japan vastly differ from what you have there, they are still awe-inspiring 😊

I haven’t been to Japan yet, well, I have spent 6 hours at the Kyoto airport on a layover 😊

It counts! Especially if you drank matcha during your wait!
