Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the High Museum of Art, and BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

I arrived at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens when they opened this morning at 9:00 a.m.  It felt so refreshing to walk around and be surrounded by nature. It’s a lovely Botanical garden!

As I was exploring, I met a lady from Britain (Sharon), and we spoke for a few minutes. Later, we were both leaving at the same time and she decided to have brunch with me and then go to the High Museum of Art. She was going to take an Uber to a Hindu Temple, so I suggested that I could drive us there since it was on the way to my Airbnb and then she could Uber back to Atlanta. We have a lot in common, and had a great time together! I love having spontaneous adventures!

Here are some photos from the High Museum of Art!

It was about a 30-minute drive to the Hindu temple…BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir.  It was impressive and beautiful!

We were not allowed to take photos inside, but I took this photo from the web.

These ladies agreed to be photographed..

I drove a little over an hour to my Airbnb in Demorest, Georgia, where I’ll spend a couple of nights. I’ll be hiking in four state parks over the next couple of days.
