Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado

Yesterday’s adventure began at 8:15 a.m. when I arrived at Great Sand Dunes National Park. The temperature was in the ’40s and there was very little wind. Basically the perfect conditions. Here’s where you begin..

I was hoping to climb the High Dune Loop trail which is 2.8 mi with an elevation gain of 603 ft., but only made it about halfway up. It’s pretty scary because the sand shifts and at times you’re on the side of big drop offs. I captured some cool photos though.

These people were sandboarding. I did that in Peru.

I hiked up part of the way with these people and caught up with them later after the hike and sent them this photo.

This doggy did the hike with his goggles on 😅

It was a cool adventure! I drive to Colorado Springs today.
