Hiking the Fawn Lake Loop, Hooker Falls, and Triple Falls Trails in Dupont State Recreational Forest

Friday I participated in a Pilates class at the Y. It feels good to be active. It was a pretty day so I decided to drive a half an hour from Hendersonville, North Carolina to Dupont State Recreational Forest and hike a couple of trails. The first one was a 1.5 mile loop around Fawn Lake. The lake is small, but gorgeous!

Hooker Falls Trail is about a mile, and the waterfall isn’t extra tall, but it was flowing nicely. Since my knee is still injured, I can’t do my normal long hikes with higher elevation gain.

This morning I started early again and drove back to the same area where Hooker Falls is to hike the 2.5 mile Triple Falls Trail. It’s an overcast day, but that didn’t detract from the beauty of the Falls.

Hope everyone’s having a great weekend!
