Yesterday I arrived in Lutsen, Minnesota from Cincinnati after two flights and a 2-hour drive. It was pouring rain the entire drive, but as soon as I arrived in Lutsen it stopped so I hiked one mile round trip to Cascade Falls.
I stopped at Clearview General Store to stock up on a few groceries and drove a few minutes to my lodging at Solbakken Resort.
I planned this solo road trip to the North Shore of Minnesota since I’ve never been to this State and autumn is so beautiful here!

I just checked that resort. It looks absolutely fantastic. If we wouldn’t go to Germany starting this coming Sunday I might want to immediately leave for that resort.

What a gorgeous area, and a wonderful cabin. I will certainly keep that in mind because Minnesota is still on Mary’s and my list of states we want to travel our 10+ miles on bicycles in.Enjoy your stay.

The North shore of Lake Superior, where I’m at, has lots of biking paths along the lake.
