I planned a lady’s road trip for four of my friends and myself, and we left this past Wednesday. It was only a 2-hour drive to our first stop.. Bernheim Forest. We walked about 2 and 1/2 mi along the Forest Giant trail. It was really cool!

Next, I had arranged for a bourbon tasting since we were in the nation’s largest area of bourbon production, Bardstown, Kentucky. Our tour guide was very perky and entertaining.

I have to say I do prefer wine tastings. We went to our Airbnb after that, had a couple of drinks and went out for dinner. 

It was a short, fun getaway.
