Mount Tamalpais East Peak, Views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Rodeo Beach

I got started early yesterday morning, leaving my Airbnb at 6:40 a.m. and drove half an hour to the top of Mount Tamalpais East Peak. The road was very twisty with amazing views of the Valley enveloped in fog below. I hiked almost a mile on the Verna Dunshee loop trail. One side was foggy below and the other side had a clear view.

I stopped for a late breakfast/ early lunch and then drove to some scenic viewpoints of the Golden gate bridge area.

Although the Golden gate bridge was enveloped in fog, the other side was clear.

Rodeo Beach was very close. There were fishermen, birds and surfers to watch.

I went back, took a nap and then drove to Sausalito.

You can see San Francisco across the bay.

A few minutes down the road I stopped to check out the floating homes. They’re really cool!

Today I’ll be hiking in John Muir woods and exploring the town of Mill Valley.
