Yesterday morning I drove almost 3 hours from Hooper to the cute town of Manitou Springs. I stopped once and took a photo of a particularly pretty scene

I walked around a bit in Manitou Springs.

Then I drove to Old Colorado City and had lunch at a delicious Italian restaurant. I had veal parmesan, which I haven’t had since I was in the military living in Germany. At that time I learned that the baby cows were inhumanely raised so I’ve never eaten it since…until now.

I walked around a bit in Old Colorado City. There are lots of art galleries, shops, and restaurants.

My Airbnb is just a few blocks from the heart of Old Colorado City and has beautiful woodwork.

Today I’ll be hiking at Garden of the Gods!
.
That veal parmesan looks delicious, Sherry, and the bathroom of your AirBnB looks like you can dance in it!

It was. I know, the bathroom is huge. Thanks!

What changed your mind about the veal? I ask for chicken and it satisfies me thanks to the cheese.
These mountain towns are so cute and you’ve got great weather too. I am so inspired to jump in the car and take off but we’re in the midst of a serious heat wave and I can’t abandon my birds and bees. I’m putting out water 3-4 times a day.
enjoy your hike,
Annie

Mainly there was nothing else on the menu that sounded good at the time. I thought if they are still raised inhumanely, having one piece in 46 years isn’t too bad. Colorado is also way above average in temps. Thanks for stopping by!

This does look like an incredibly picturesque place to spend some time in. I would love wandering around and looking at what’s on offer (shops, food, nature, etc.). Wonderful!
