Whiteface Mountain and Cycling on the Adirondack Rail Trail, Lake Placid, New York

Yesterday morning on the way to the top of Whiteface Mountain, I stopped to take a few pics.  If you haven’t noticed, I like reflections.

There’s a fee of $25 per car to drive the 6 miles to the top of the mountain, but if you’re a veteran like me, it’s only $10. As you wind up the mountain, the views are great.

At the top you walk 426 ft through this tunnel to an elevator that takes you 27 stories to the top. The views are spectacular!

The next adventure for my day was e-biking along the Adirondack Rail Trail. It’s 34 miles through picturesque Lake Placid, Ray Brook, Saranac Lake, Lake Clear, and Tupper Lake. I went about 25 miles.

Today I’m driving to Saratoga Springs, New York.

  1. Such lovely reflections you’ve shared, my friend, and the expansive views from atop Whiteface Mountain look fabulous! E-bike or otherwise, you’re in good shape to ride 25 miles, and I hope you enjoy your visit to Saratoga Springs. Safe travels! 🌺🤗✨
