Another great weekend in Colorado!

My weekend was filled with cycling, a hike, and a picnic. I cycled with a Meetup group from Arvada to Golden to see the Buffalo Bill parade. We sang the Star-Spangled banner song before the parade started. I haven’t sung that song in forever.

Later that afternoon I went to a Meetup event at Sloan Lake. I’ve never been there…we had a picnic. I met a couple of nice people.

Sunday I went on a solo hike. It was nice, but not quite as scenic as some of the others. I tried not to think about mountain lions after I saw the sign at the beginning 😮.  There were quite a few people on the trail.

This coming week I have a lot planned. Four hikes, a wine tasting, two happy hours, and Opera with the people I live with. Have a great week!

  5. Glad you’re enjoying Colorado. My daughter lives at Sloan Lake. We visit her once a year. Did you hike Castlewood Canyon yet? It’s a lovely place to hike, and close to where we used to live. Also, there is a great bar/restaurant on the way there, called the Stagecoach. It was our local. It has recently been refurbished, and I hear it is very good. Check it out.
