North Carolina Arboretum, The Meadow at Highland Brewery, and Jewelry making

I’m in an Airbnb now until June 6th, that’s when my four month lease starts for a cute two-bedroom cottage in Hendersonville. Then I’ll be in another cute cottage in Asheville for 6 months. It’s a relief to have accommodations taken care of. The past few days I’ve met some new friends at two meetups, visited the North Carolina Arboretum, and made a ring at a jewelry making class. The weather has been wonderful, in the ’70s.

If you love beautiful views, flowers, greenery and the outdoors, visit the North Carolina Arboretum, in Asheville

One of the meetups I went to was at The Meadow at Highland Brewery in Asheville. It was a Meetup for digital nomads. Although I didn’t meet anyone that was a true Nomad, it was nice chatting with friendly people in a beautiful setting.

Yesterday, I took an interesting ring making class through Ignite Jewelry Studio. There were six of us in the class. This is what my ring looked like in the beginning, just a strip of silver.

There were lots of steps to create the finished piece.

Not quite there yet…

The finished piece

I’ve signed up for additional meetups over the next 2 weeks. Tomorrow, I am attending an Airbnb experience and will be making a piece of art utilizing high voltage electricity and paint.

I'd love to hear what you have to say
