Hiking the Three Lakes Trail in Gunnison National Forest

Wednesday morning I drove 45 minutes from my Airbnb in Crested Butte to the Three Lakes trailhead in Gunnison National Forest. I stopped a couple of times to take photos. I drove along Keebler Pass, much of which is a dirt road and a little scary at times. I’m in love with this area!

Along the drive

The hike was amazing! Halfway through, when I was at the top looking down at the reservoir, I began to cry because the beauty was overwhelming. I was filled with gratitude. I didn’t run into people until close to the end of the hike since I was there early. I was prepared this time, with my rain jacket on and bear spray.

Silver Dollar Lake was the prettiest. I love reflections and couldn’t stop taking photos.

I took a nap when I got back 😴
