Yesterday, I took a 15 minute bus from my lodging to explore Castillo de Gibralfaro and the Alcazaba. I arrived soon after it opened and began the pilgrimage up to the Castillo. It will get your heart pumping. The views are spectacular!

I made my way back down to enter the Alcazaba. It’s lovely and has wonderful views also.

From the Alcazaba, you can see people making their way up to the Castillo. Both places are like a maze. I typically don’t use the audio guides provided, so it’s fun to wander.

It was very crowded on the bus ride back and there was one extra spot for elderly people. I motioned to the other elderly people to see if I could sit there and they were very gracious. I’m letting my hair go gray, that way it will match the way my body feels 😅
