Day trip from Malaga to Ronda & Setenil de las Bodegas, Spain

Yesterday, I went on a 9 hour day trip through Get Your Guide from Malaga to Ronda and the white village of Setenil de las Bodegas. The journey via bus took almost 2 hours to reach Ronda. I chose the unguided tour and had four hours to explore so I prepared a three mile self-guided walking tour that included viewpoints, plazas, and a garden. The landscapes were breathtaking!

We took a bus from Ronda to Setenil de las Bodegas. The cave-like houses carved into the rock are amazing!

It was a long day but very cool!

  1. Ronda was one of our favourite stops in Spain. Amazing scenery as your photos show. Thanks to the receptionist at the hotel we stayed in we ate with locals in a couple of small non touristy restaurants. Fabulous food. Cheers

  2. That looks beautiful. Although, I don’t think I’d want to live in one of those apartments perched on top of the cliff. I don’t think I’d be able to sleep from fear of my building sliding off.

I’ve been to a few places in southern Spain, but never Malaga, Ronda, or Setenil de las Bodegas. Your post makes me want to correct that deficiency. It looks amazing. Thanks.
