I joined the Blue Ridge Bicycle club here in Hendersonville, North Carolina. My first ride was 13 miles on country roads, and it was gorgeous! I’m the one on the left with the neon green shirt.

This past Friday I drove an hour to Old Fort, North Carolina and hiked the Catawba Falls Trail. Although it was only 3.6 mi, there were 580 steps (30 stories). Such a pretty area!

A friend from Charlotte, N.C. was supposed to visit this weekend, but she was sick. I had developed an itinerary and decided to do it solo. The first stop was just down the street from where I’m living at Trailside Brewery. There was a summer solstice celebration with lots of vendors. A musician was playing and people were relaxing.

Then I drove 15 minutes to the Sawyer Springs Vineyard and had a glass of chardonnay. From there I went to St. Paul Mountain Vineyards.

I wore a necklace that has my late son’s thumbprint on it. ♥️ My hair is slowly growing. Today, I’m going on another hike. Happy Father’s Day!
So lovely, dear Sherry! I’ve hiked Catawba Falls twice in the past, before the stairs were put in place, and thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty of both the lower and upper falls. I’m glad you’ve found such a wonderful place to call home, near many scenic locations. ✨🤗
