More fun to report… I went on a boat ride with a group of people at Lake Lure and had lunch afterwards. Beautiful homes are perched on the side of the lake. The weather was perfect – ’70s.

Every week I hike a couple of times. It’s a great way to get exercise!

I went for a drink and appetizers with a new friend at the Montford Rooftop bar in Asheville. The views were great and the food and drinks were yummy!

Although I’m still a nomad, I’m feeling more settled.

  3. Lake Lure with those homes tucked into the hillsides and perfect 70s weather sounds like a dream day, and a rooftop in Asheville is the ideal way to cap it off. I love the line about still being a nomad but feeling more settled, that balance between roaming and belonging is such a sweet spot. Your couple-of-hikes-a-week habit puts our travel step counts to shame!
