Rockefeller Center in the Spring is beautiful! My second day in New York City started with a view of the One World Trade Center, followed by a walk through Little Italy and Chinatown and then a quick subway ride to Rockefeller Center. I stopped a man in a business suit and asked him what there was to see in the area. He told me about this area behind the Center with beautiful tulips and fountains.
The building on the right is 50 Rockefeller Plaza…
This is where the Christmas Tree is every year. An art exhibition called “Human Nature” is on display right now. A fellow blogger, Francine was recently in New York and has a lot of great information about them here at her blog.
Inside 50 Rockefeller Plaza the walls and ceiling have these beautiful paintings…
Rockefeller Center is made up of 19 buildings that cover 22 acres between 48th and 51st Streets. One of the shops is the Lego Store. I loved this dragon hanging from the ceiling…
You can choose between lots of colors…
Upon leaving the area, I walked to St. Patrick’s Cathedral…
It was absolutely spectacular!
We’re not finished with my second day in New York City. Tomorrow we’ll see a small portion of Central Park!
