Boating is a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors and your friends! Saturday I had another fun day in Cincinnati on the Ohio River on my friend April’s boat. She invited four of us women friends and five other boats ended up tying up to us…so we had a party! Here’s Captain April…
Sometimes I get bored with boating, especially if I can’t ski…so I stay entertained by taking photographs and dancing. I really liked this candid shot of Cindy and April. April’s bathing suit is so cool…I love the neon and loopy fabric!
I don’t remember what Dee was cracking up about…but I love to see her smile.
Gina really enjoyed herself too!

I captured some cool angled photos. These are a couple of our “guy” friends…Ron and Jeff.
Unfortunately, the river was still a little high, fast and choppy to ski. We passed under this bridge on our way to the Riverbend Music Center area where we dropped anchor.
All of us ladies waved to the Watercraft patrol.

There was a pop-up storm nearby that fortunately didn’t hit us. I liked the way the plane was flying towards it…
When it’s 90 degrees outside, you definitely want to get wet. The current was really fast and I noticed the sun casting it’s glow on the water where Ron was swimming back to the boat. I dove in once and for the first time in over twenty years of boating on the river was a bit concerned that I wouldn’t be able to swim back against the current. But, I dug in and swam for my life!

Back at the Four Seasons Marina, this sail boat was very colorful…
I love that my friends love to have fun! We’re all in our forties and fifties, either with grown children or no children and we’re having the time of our lives!

Your pictures are beautiful!! I would love to know what type of Camera you use. Did you alter your pics in any way? ~ I have to admit that I am a bit jealous of you and your friends. You ALL look AMAZING!!!! I am 48, myself, and I would LOVE to look as wonderful as you all do! 🙂

I had my old camera with me…an Olympus PEN. I just bought a true DSLR about 10 days ago. Thanks very much for the compliment! I do alter some of them slightly (contrast, shadows, cropping) with my Mac (Apple). It comes with iphoto. Thanks so much for the second compliment! I eat really well…a lot of salads, vegies, fruit, nuts, and exercise quite a bit (hot yoga, jogging, biking, hiking).

Lots of fun. Jumping into a swift current would worry me a bit, but I suppose the boat could have come after you. Nice that you could have so much fun with the boat.

You could be twins… when I saw the first photo I thought you had got mixed up and placed your own photo in the wrong place… the Bikinis sure look good on all the ladies… I just love that you love life as you do… your posts are so fun filled and joyful, they tend to lift my day when I’m having a bad one… love this blog…

No…if we were side by side you’d definitely see the difference. She has brown hair – I have blonde, her hair is quite a bit longer than mine and she’s more slender, and 13 years younger than me. But thanks! I’m so happy they brighten your day!!
