Today was a long day, I had an Uber pick me up at 5:30 a.m. for a 10 minute ride to the meeting spot for an Airbnb experience called Exploring the Waters of Tolantongo. There were two vans of us. We drove an hour and a half, stopped for breakfast, and drove another hour and a half and stopped for a restroom break. Then we only had a half an hour more of driving before arriving at Tolantongo.

We enjoyed the hot pools until 1:00 p.m. I didn’t take photos of all the pools, there were so many. They’re filled with minerals. There was a swinging bridge that was fun to cross.
Next we had 2 hours to have lunch and time to relax in the mineral river.

Some of us went zip lining, I haven’t done it in 20 years. It was exhilarating!

We spent 2 hours exploring the amazing caves and waterfalls. At one point the current was so swift we had to hold on to a rope to get through to another cave.

After a quick shower and change of clothing, we started our four hour drive back. At one of our breaks we had some Pastes, which are traditional English pastries. The almost 8 hour bumpy round trip was worth it!
That looks incredibly relaxing and exhilarating! Where did you store your clothes while in the water?

In our van or in a backpack they provided. They had the system perfected.

The Waters of Tolantongo sounds like the title for a novel, and your lovely smile tells the story of an amazing experience – the pools, waterfalls, water-filled caverns & zip lining…wow! Thanks for sharing your adventures, dear Sherry. 🌞

You’re right, that does sound like a book. Because I travel solo, I love to share my experiences with others, I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😊
