Denver and its suburbs are a sprawling metropolis. Now that I moved to Lone Tree from Golden, I’m closer to other trails for hiking. I went with one of my groups for an evening hike. The lights were pretty. I also did two solo hikes with lovely views of the mountains and a reservoir.

Thursday I went with one of my hiking groups to Roxborough State Park and hiked two miles. We were blanketed in six inches of snow the day before. It was my first time snow hiking. I used to snow ski, but I’ve never hiked in the snow. My new micro spikes worked great. It was beautiful with the snow. I’m the tall one in the back near the right.

I went with one of my Meetup groups to the Blossoms of Light at Denver Botanic Gardens. It was a winter wonderland! Prettier than the ones back home.
