Hey everyone, Merry Christmas! Since I last posted, I went on a solo hike that led to a reservoir. It was partially frozen over. I tried to make it a mindful hike, paying attention to small details in nature.

Saturday evening I joined a Meetup at a bar that had live music. I didn’t stay very long. I don’t really care for places that are so loud you can barely hear each other. Plus, if I get bored, I’d want to drink too much.

Sunday I was invited on a hike with a new friend, her husband, and a couple of other ladies. As you can see, we were dressed festively. My friend brought hot chocolate and some snacks for afterwards.

Early Tuesday morning, I took a friend to the airport and I went to see the new Avatar movie with friends. It was in 3D!

I don’t have any plans today, Christmas Eve, but I did sign up for a bicycle ride tomorrow on Christmas day. I’m in this 5,000 sq. ft. Airbnb by myself, the owners went out of town.

Although I miss my deceased husband and son, I’m practicing gratitude for what I do have. 🫶
