It’s been a busy 10 days, but I wanted to catch you up on what’s been going on with me lately. In addition to the previous senior photo shoots of Sami Jo and Vivian, I attended a Bengals football party at a friends’ house, but didn’t watch a minute of the game. I’m not much of a sports watching fan. I enjoy the conversation with friends at parties and love to be active, hiking, jogging, biking, etc. I contacted an acquaintance, who is a model, to see if he’d like to meetup at an area park for a quick outdoor photo shoot and to get to know each other a bit better. He usually does magazine or runway modeling, so I thought a fun casual shoot might be a change of pace for him. Isn’t he cute…
I also did another senior photo shoot for a friends’ son and some group family photos for her…
I help an elderly man organize once or twice a week and invited him over for dinner. He’s 88 years old and loves classical music. His wife died back in July and he didn’t get out much for a while due to taking care of her. He doesn’t have children and his niece and nephew live an 1 1/2 away, so I’d like to have him over occasionally. It had been over 15 years since he’d shot a gun, so after dinner he gave it a go…
A girlfriend has an annual trip to Keeneland Park, via Limo which is driven by a friend pictured on the left, and invited me this year. It was an all day affair, beginning with a bloody mary in the morning. Her daughter, daughter’s boyfriend, and a friend of theirs were packed in with us. Fun…fun! To keep things entertaining, I had them playing the telephone game, sticking our head out of the sun roof, and much more.
Another assignment through Cincinnati Refined entailed walking a few miles taking photographs of people tailgating before the Bengals football game this past Sunday. My mission was to find as many people with outrageous costumes and/or stylish looks I could find, along with the general vibe…
My photography jobs are really picking up! I was contacted this week via e-mail, by a gentleman that found me by googling photography in Cincinnati, so I’ll be photographing his son this afternoon for senior pics. Tomorrow, I’ll be at the Cincinnati Art Museum for their annual “Art After Dark” Halloween party for Cincinnati Refined. Saturday, I have a job taking family photos for my brother and his family, followed by dinner at a friend’s house. Sunday, a quick shoot for my nephew and his roommates, followed by engagement photos for an acquaintance. Monday, I’ll be taking photos for Cincinnati Refined of a woman who started a business selling jewelry, and Saturday, a maternity photo shoot for another friend, followed by a birthday party that evening! I’ll be taking newborn photos this coming week.
Soon, I will have photographed all of the special times in someone’s life! In between, of course, I cram in some reading and cooking. Yesterday, I made a chicken, potato, green bean dish; home-made sausage and egg biscuits, and a pumpkin pie. It’s never boring around here!
Cheers to Life!
Wow! That’s quite the whirlwind of activity. It’s wonderful that you are picking up such a good following for your photography. Definitely “Cheers!” to you.

NIce. I like that first portrait. Did you use a reflector as well, or only flash?
