The last couple of days here in Mexico City have been pretty uneventful. I went for a 3 mi walk yesterday to a shopping mall to look around. A few photos of what I saw on the way.

I watched Netflix and went to the grocery store. This morning I did laundry and began organizing what I will take on another Airbnb experience I’m doing tomorrow. I’m quite excited about it. I’ll be hiking approximately 7 mi at Iztaccihuatl – Popocatepetl National Park to see two volcanoes, one of which is active. We’ll be hiking at high elevation – 12,000 to 14,000 ft. The last time I hiked at high elevation was in 2009 when I hiked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, Peru.

I had a late breakfast at The Green Corner Condesa.

I return home on March 1st. Being here by myself for a month has been a little too long, loneliness sets in.
Sherry β I started following your posts when you were on your long trip to Europe (I think I stumbled across you on a Rick Steves post?). Iβm interested in going to Mexico City β but would be solo. That makes me a little nervousβ¦ and in this case a little lonely. Are there any good tour groups that you have heard about that I can look into?

I’m not aware of any, you could check out g adventures or intrepid travel. If you’re not here for more than 2 weeks by yourself, you should be fine.

Your volcano hike sounds awesome…looking forward to seeing and hearing about your adventures, dear Sherry. Remember to take it easy exerting yourself at such high elevations. And, have big fun! π€πΊππΆββοΈπ
