I left early yesterday morning for a mini solo road trip to Charleston for a couple of nights and Charlotte for a night. On the way, I stopped at Congaree National Park. I had never heard of this park. It was a little out of the way, but it piqued my interest. I walked the peaceful and pretty 2.5 mile boardwalk that begins at the visitor center.

It was a 2 hour drive from there to Cypress Gardens. I knew there was a Cypress Gardens in Florida, but I didn’t know about this one. I was surprised by how lovely it is. You can boat around in the swamps, but it’s first come first serve and there was a 4-hour wait…😬

Once I arrived at Folly Beach, it was a little too early to check in to my Airbnb, so I had a bite to eat. My Airbnb is really cute and only one block from the beach…

From my place, it’s only a block to the beach, so I spent an hour or so there and took some photos. I’ll post those tomorrow!
