WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Home
“Home” is the Weekly Photo Challenge hosted by WordPress.
Some of these giant Sequoia trees, located in the Sequoia National Park, California, have claimed their home for over 2,000 years. I was visiting there in the Autumn of 2011.

Travel Theme: Shadows
This week’s Travel Theme at Where’s My Backpack is Shadows. It’s so much fun when you suddenly notice a really interesting or artistic photo opportunity. As I’ve become more interested in photography and take more photographs, I see the world around me in a new and exciting light! I posted these photos a couple of months ago, from my 6-week solo road trip through the Southern U.S., but love them so much–had to post them again, and perhaps many of you didn’t have an opportunity to view them the first time around.

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique
“Unique” is the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge this week. I didn’t have to search for long before coming across a few that seem “Unique” to me. A couple of years ago, the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati, Ohio had their yearly Butterfly Exhibition, featuring butterflys from Brazil. It was a great opportunity to take photographs of beautiful butterflys interacting with children and adults!
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Fire
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Fire! Fire represents energy and excitement to me! I’ve always loved camping and campfires. In fact, I usually jump over fires…just because it’s fun and I can! These are my selections…

A Word a Week Photo Challenge: Weather
This week’s “A Word a Week” photo challenge at Sue’s blog…”A Word in Your Ear” is “Weather”. I chose photos that depict two definitions. The typical types of weather we encounter and when something or someone is weathered due to the elements.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Water
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is new to me! I think I’m becoming addicted to these challenges. I find it so much fun to look through my photos and organize them according to categories. I tried to stay away from the typical ocean shots…which I have many of…so I’ve submitted fountain, swamp, oasis, water feature, pool, lake, puddle, and ocean.
Anyway, here are my selections:
