WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Lost in the Details

Lost in the Details is this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge!  I’m still amazed that every time I participate in a challenge, I learn something new.  I interpreted this challenge to mean when we take a photo…if we look closely…there is so much more to see.  Some of the photos required cropping and I was pleased with the creativity I was able to utilize with choosing the photos and with the process of what part of the photo to crop.

This was one of my favorites.  It’s a cropped version of the 2nd photo and was taken in Ft. Myers, Florida in November, 2012.  I like the way the letters on the other side show through.  It’s the simple things that make me happy!

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward

The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is “Forward”.  I’ve chosen four photos that represent the typical use of the word…”a forward motion”, and three that show people being “bold”!

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Home

“Home” is the Weekly Photo Challenge hosted by WordPress.

Some of these giant Sequoia trees, located in the Sequoia National Park, California, have claimed their home for over 2,000 years.  I was visiting there in the Autumn of 2011.

WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Unique

Unique” is the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge this week.  I didn’t have to search for long before  coming across a few that seem “Unique” to me.  A couple of years ago, the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati, Ohio had their yearly Butterfly Exhibition, featuring butterflys from Brazil.  It was a great opportunity to take photographs of beautiful butterflys interacting with children and adults!
